About Me

About Karen Blocker

Married to my love for 30 years, I have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren. I’m a 4th generation Floridian who loves cracker westerns and adventure stories. To relax from life stress, I escape to my imagination. This inspired me to write a book about romance and life challenges. I’ve always loved romance novels but not the pattern most storylines follow with a breakup and a make-up.

When I was dating my husband and we had our first argument, I assumed afterwards that we would break-up because we didn’t agree on something. He looked at me and said “We just had a disagreement, which means we aren’t going to always agree. That doesn’t change the fact that I love you.” I’ve been writing church skits and sharing devotional plays with friends for over 25 years, often being encouraged to write and share my work with others. So, I decided to give it a try. I enjoyed the creativity of writing without limitations of themes. To share a story to help escape our daily lives and to get away while remembering LOVE “bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
