Margret Kingrey

Margret Kingrey embodies the spirit of Washington state, tracing her lineage back five generations in this region. While her journey led her to explore diverse locales during her adult years, she has always regarded Washington as her true home. Margret’s educational path began at Hoquiam High School and Grays Harbor Community College, followed by a sojourn in Oregon and Texas. Eventually, she returned to Washington, earning her degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Puget Sound. Her professional journey spanned over four decades in various occupational therapy roles.

Upon entering retirement, Margret embraced a new passion: writing. In 2019, she achieved a significant milestone by completing the Master of Fine Arts in Writing residency program at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Her academic achievements also include a Master of Arts from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces

Margret, accompanied by her husband and two cherished feline companions, now resides in Blair, Nebraska. Her days are filled with the joys of writing, sharing coffee moments with friends, indulging in knitting, and finding solace in attending Mass and offering prayers for others.
