Paying-It-Forward

Greetings, cherished friends of ANEHOPE,

In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I extend warm regards to you. It is an honor to share the remarkable journey of ANEHOPE Ministry, spanning over 15 years of devoted service to God through unwavering faith and tangible actions. Our progress owes much to individuals like you, who have selflessly contributed their time, finances, and prayers to bolster this ministry. Through your generosity, over 200 talented yet underprivileged children from East African communities have experienced transformative opportunities within our program, securing access to education and reshaping their futures.

Many of you are familiar with my personal testimonies, detailing the challenges I faced while enemies sought my demise. God’s intervention and the compassion of others guided me through those harrowing times. Departing my homeland at a young age, I became a refugee, traversing thousands of miles across diverse landscapes in search of safety. In this journey, countless souls offered sustenance, shelter, educational opportunities, and employment prospects that altered the trajectory of my life. They prevented me from enduring life on the streets or languishing indefinitely in refugee camps. It was this compassion that spurred me to establish Africa New Hope Empowerment Ministry while still a student at Daystar University.

ANEHOPE Ministry oversees four core initiatives: 1) Scholarships for bright children from underserved communities like slums and urban refugee areas; 2) A “Period Poverty” program, supplying sanitary pads to schoolgirls to ensure consistent attendance; 3) An Anti-FGM program, promoting an alternative rite of passage centered on the word of God, love, and care, encouraging community education and continued schooling for girls; 4) The soon-to-launch Mara International Christian School, emphasizing Christian values and STEM education, committing 10% of its revenue towards scholarships for disadvantaged students. Furthermore, ANEHOPE collaborates with orphanages to bolster education and sanitary provisions. Through its efforts, ANEHOPE has seen hundreds graduate high school, granted over 200 scholarships—with some students even pursuing tertiary education abroad—and distributed 50,000+ sanitary pads in Kenya and Uganda.

As we reflect on the many who positively influenced my life’s course, we extend a call to you to be part of this honorable mission. Let us continue serving our Creator through actions inspired by faith.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Dr. William A. Twayigize
