Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid any makeup, lotions, or oils on the face for at least 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid any excessive sweating, such as from exercising or saunas, for at least 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid any other skin treatments or facials for at least 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid any picking, scratching, or touching of the face for at least 24 hours after the treatment
Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher when going outside
Drink plenty of water and maintain a healthy diet to help the skin stay hydrated and nourished
If any redness, irritation, or other side effects occur, contact the esthetician or a dermatologist
Follow any additional aftercare instructions provided by the esthetician, such as using a specific moisturizer or serum
Avoid any exfoliating or resurfacing treatments, waxing or threading for at least 24 hours after the treatment to avoid irritation
Avoid any sauna, steam room or any other activities that may cause excessive sweating for 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid any harsh products, scrubs or exfoliants for 24 hours after the treatment
Avoid any alcohol consumption for 24 hours after the treatment
Keep skin moisturized, a moisturizer or hydrating mask may be recommended by the esthetician.
Pre-Care
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning at least two weeks prior to treatment
- Shave the area to be treated prior to your appointment
- Avoid using any creams, lotions, or other products on the area for 24-48 hours before treatment
- Do not wax, pluck, or use any hair removal methods that remove the hair from the root in the area to be treated
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine on the day of treatment
- If you are prone to cold sores, inform your practitioner, as they may prescribe antiviral medication
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing to the appointment
- Inform the practitioner of any medications or supplements you are taking, as some may increase skin sensitivity
- Let the practitioner know if you have a history of keloid scars or other skin conditions
- If you have a history of herpes simplex virus in the treatment area, inform the practitioner, as they may prescribe antiviral medication
Aftercare

- Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least two weeks after treatment
- Apply ice or a cold compress to the treated area for 10-15 minutes to reduce swelling and discomfort
- Avoid hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for 24-48 hours after treatment
- Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing the treated area
- Avoid using any exfoliating or harsh skin products on the treated area for at least 24 hours
- Use a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer on the treated area
- Avoid using makeup or other cosmetic products on the treated area for 24 hours
- Avoid swimming in pools or hot tubs for 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid excessive exercise or heavy sweating for 24 hours after treatment
- Inform the practitioner of any unusual symptoms or reactions you experience after treatment
