Pre-Care
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
- Avoid sun exposure for at least two weeks before the procedure.
- Avoid tanning beds and self-tanners.
- Avoid taking blood-thinning medications such as ibuprofen, aspirin, and fish oil.
- Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours before the procedure.
- Cleanse the skin thoroughly the night before and the morning of the procedure.
- Do not wear makeup or any other products on the skin the day of the procedure.
- Arrive to your appointment with clean, dry skin.
- Inform your provider of any medications, vitamins, or supplements that you are currently taking.
- Inform your provider of any allergies or sensitivities that you have.
- Inform your provider of any changes in your skin or health since your last appointment.
Aftercare
YOUR TREATMENT
Follow these important tips to get the most from your treatment.
- Avoid sun exposure for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid tanning beds and self-tanners.
- Avoid sweating for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid hot baths or showers for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid touching or picking at the treated area.
- Cleanse the skin gently with a mild cleanser and lukewarm water for the first 24 hours after the procedure.
- Apply a thin layer of a hydrating, soothing product such as aloe vera or a moisturizer with hyaluronic acid to the treated area.
- Apply sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher to the treated area when going outside.
- Avoid any exfoliating products, scrubs, or acid treatments for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- Avoid any other treatments or procedures on the treated area for at least 24 hours after the procedure
- Inform your provider of any adverse reactions or concerns you have regarding your treatment.
- Follow up with your provider as recommended.
